Our Market Tour 2025

Operated by Beyond the Bell Tours, the Our Market Tour explores the 9th Street Market through public art, vendor stories, and unique history that makes Philadelphia the city that it is today.  This tour shares the stories of the people who work and live in the Market. Through public art and storytelling, learn about the contributions of the many (im)migrant communities that make the Market thrive.

Our Market is a community-centered, multi-layered, multi-year public art project focused on supporting migrant vendors, business owners, and neighbors who work and reside in the 9th Street Market. Our Market focuses on expanding the narrative of the 9th Street Market, one of the oldest outdoor markets in the United States. The public art includes revitalized vendor stands, murals, and lightboxes. Over the past few years, Our Market has been gathering stories through story circles and is working to create a digital archive.
